The concept, born from a collaboration between Baja Cali Fish & Tacos and chef Francisco Aguilar of Simón, offers rich, soulful flavors inspired by Aguilar’s upbringing in rural Mexico and professional training in Chiapas and Oaxaca.

Currently in its soft-opening phase, Carnal will host its grand opening on July 11. The brunch menu features creative takes on traditional dishes, from enfrijoladas with handmade tetelas to maizhongo—a medley of mushrooms and huitlacoche.
